Our client is a global consultancy who are enjoying a period of rapid growth
Your role: - Client service manager in the charity and not-for-profit sector taking a responsibility for a portfolio of charity and not-for-profit clients. - The role will also include the targeting and sales activity expanding the portfolio in the South East region. - The second aspect (approx 25%) could consist of acting as technical support on a national basis, training of staff in the charity area, assisting in writing technical and training material and providing national file reviews. - This part of the role will be nationally based and required liaison with national head of charity and not-for-profit.
Main responsibilities:
- Managing the audits of a portfolio of charity and not-for-profit clients. This will include the audit planning, budget setting, fee negotiation, staff planning, supervision (including objective setting and appraisal), project management, report writing, presentation to clients and reporting to a range of partners. - There will also have to be liaison with other parts of the firm, cross selling of our services particularly tax and key account planning and technical input. - The time commitment for this part of the role will depend of the amount of time available but is likely to be 75% of the working year - 25% of time to be on a national basis - consisting in the development of delivery of training for staff, partners and possibly clients in the future in the form of seminars and training material. Liaising with the national technical department for updating of factsheets and charity explorer - Development of the South East Region business plan for charity and not for profit clients - Responsibility for monitoring the performance of total fee income for the sector
Qualifications:
- Previous involvement in working for the charity and not for profit sector in a professional practice with significant charity clients - Individual will have at least 5 years post qualification experience - A focus on client service and client focus delivery will be essential - An ability to represent the firm at the highest level in the sector will also be an added advantage - Previous experience within a Professional Practice and Industry - Particular experience of a charity sector (viz education or RSL`s) a plus but not essential. - Management experience of running a small team - ACA or CA qualified - Degree qualified
